Meet Adriana

Adriana Douzos

I'm a senior-level communications strategist with 15+ years of industry expertise, working with leading brands like Disney, Nickelodeon, Weight Watchers, Macy's, Victoria's Secret, HBO, FOX Studios, and more.

Since launching The PR CANVAS in 2019, I was part of the core publicity team for Oprah's 2020 Vision: Your Life in Focus — the sold-out, live arena stage tour.

I truly love the media business; collaborating with journalists and clients on the projects and causes that excite them is what energizes me.

One of my other career standouts was leading the Broadway premiere of Head Over Heels, featuring the music of female rock icons THE GO-GO'S. I worked closely with original band members Charlotte Caffey, Belinda Carlisle, Gina Schock, Kathy Valentine,  and Jane Wiedlin on features in The New York Times, CBS Sunday Morning, People, Associated Press, SiriusXM Radio, Los Angeles Times, and more.

MY PR CAREER CANVAS

Previously, I led the 12-time Tony Award-nominated production of The SpongeBob Musical at the theatrical press agency Boneau/Bryan-Brown.

I served as PR director for RKP Media, overseeing new business development and home entertainment DVD campaigns, including Logan starring Hugh Jackman, Jordan Peele’s Get Out, and various HBO series ("Game of Thrones," "Veep," "Big Little Lies," "Insecure").

I was a senior publicist at Polk & Co., handling project campaign work for FOX-TV's “Grease: Live!,” Paramount Pictures' release of Florence Foster Jenkins starring Meryl Streep, and the Apollo Theater & Classical Theatre of Harlem's holiday co-production of The First Noel. I led the Broadway for Orlando all-star benefit recording of "What the World Needs Now is Love," featuring Sara Bareilles, Sarah Jessica Parker, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and more.

Notable Broadway shows include Julius Caesar, starring Denzel Washington; Disaster! the Musical; In Transit, the a cappella musical written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez; and Disney’s stage productions of The Lion King, Mary Poppins, The Little Mermaid, and Elton John & Tim Rice's Aida.

OTHER CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

I had the privilege of working closely with the nonprofit organization DKMS and the cast of The Lion King on its "Get Swabbed" bone marrow donor campaign to raise awareness of childhood blood cancers in support of the late child actor Shannon Tavarez.

Additional roles include senior PR & social media manager for Actors' Equity Association, production publicist for Neil LaBute's acclaimed off-Broadway plays: Fat Pig, Some Girls and The Mercy Seat, the Tony Award-winning revival of 42nd Street, and the 2000 revival of The Music Man, starring Eric McCormack.

In New York, other agency experience includes Full Picture PR, Michael Kaminer Public Relations, and Ruder Finn, where I started my career in 1997.
